I also made the hasty move of tearing the battery out by the "remove battery" strip before noticing the attached ribbon. After seeking help from Verizon and Motorolla and getting none, I did a little research and discovered this amazing website.

I made the mistake; the same as review 4. My phone shut down while drivenig to North Carolina and wouldn't respond. I also thought like all my previous phones I thought removing the battery and putting it back in would fix the problem. Big Mistake. I pulled the battery out by force and broke the little yellow ribbon cable. Motorola wanted $175 to repair it; and informed me my warranty was now VOID.
Thank you for the quick turnaround and instructions. I had my Razr back up 100% within 10 min. of receiving the new EB20.
You guys are GREAT!!!

My phone locked up and wouldn't respond, so like all my previous phones I thought removing the battery and putting it back in would fix the problem. How wrong I was. I pulled the battery out by force not thinking that it is an internal battery and should not be pulled out and damaged the little yellow ribbon cable. I looked all over and Motorola wanted $175 to repair it plus two weeks. I found cellphone repair shop and they fixed it in no time flat. I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks so much.
