Product Description

You are purchasing a Motorola Droid Razr battery conversion and upgrade kit. This kit includes all the necessary parts required to convert your Motorola Droid RAZR battery to the Droid RAZR MAXX without any gaps in the housing.

This conversion kit will work on all Motorola Droid Razr XT910 and XT912 versions both CDMA and GSM.

In order to keep the cost of this kit down, please understand some modifications to existing internal parts are required to convert the Droid Razr to the Droid Razr MAXX. Optionally you can purchase the additional part so that you don’t have to modify anything, making the process much easier for DIY Do It Yourself installation. Continue reading for further details.

Please be advised that modifications must be made to the old Droid Razr Silver Metal PCB Chassis Bracket to allow the new back housing parts to close properly and snug without a gap. We have detailed this modification / alteration on our Droid Razr Conversion Video (below) for your reference.

If you do not wish to make the above modification, you have two available options:

Purchase one of the installation options and send us your phone and we will perform the modifications and convert your phone for you with a 60 day warranty on all work performed, or
Purchase Part # 01016758002 which is the Droid Razr Maxx PCB Chassis Bracket which is a perfect fit with your new conversion parts. This part has been made available at a discount price as an option with this kit. Simply check the box for it to be included with your kit.

Exactly what you paid for

Everything seemed new and quality pieces. I've had it installed for about a week now and love the battery life which is also proportional to the charge time. Takes a few hours to get a full charge. Which is fine with me. My phone would usually die or be close to it from the time I got off work at 5pm till I went to sleep at 11pm. Now it goes ~24hrs before it gets to a low battery warning.

When I sent my Droid Razr in I was quite pleased that my phone now lasts all day and
the time it took your company to upgrade was quite fast. ( I used the rush service )

Impressed with the XT912 upgrade and professional service! New battery doesn't deplete as rapidly as the old one did. New battery doesn't deplete when charging--I had that experience with previous phones. No special cables or chargers are needed! I only encountered one problem: My XT912 doesn't smoothly fit my vehicle navigation dock.

I was barely getting one full day out of my Droid Razr on a charge. Most days I had to charge it before leaving work if I planned to make it through the evening. Now I can go two full days! I've TRIED to kill the battery in a single day and haven't succeeded.

Very glad I bought the optional frame and replacement camera bezel.

Viene todo lo necesario para el el upgrade para la bateria hacia el maxx, la instalacion es muy sencilla. Solo hay que tener paciencia y con cuidado. Recomiendo comprar el bezel y el speaker, ya que ambos se pueden deteriorar.

I love it. My battery lasts for days now. Before, it was going dead in 6-7 hours. a true game changer. Now I can keep my phone. extremely fast service if you use fedex, it can be back to you within 2 days

I bought one for my son and then one for myself. At least a double of battery charge. Highly recommend it if your Droid is running out of charge during the day.

All in all, this is an excellent kit. The components are high quality, fit perfectly and the instructions are generally good. For those that have not cracked open a smartphone recently, and can afford to be without their phone for a period of time, you might want to consider the professional installation option.

The only issue I had were the unclear instructions regarding the speaker transfer from the old rear housing to the new one. It was not obvious that the small gasket and protective screen (along with the attached adhesive) needed to be pried out of the old housing and transferred to the new one. If you forget this (as I did), you're speaker won't work or will be intermittent. Would be nice if that screen/gasket was included on the new housing and/or available as an optional part, but this is not a huge deal by any means.

For do-it-yourselfers, I definitely recommend getting the optional black motherboard frame and camera bezel.

It is amazing how long this phone now goes on a charge!

I bought the kit with the camera bezel. I didn't break the camera bezel, but managed to scratch the thin metallic film on the bottom of it, so used the replacement. This part is highly recommended.
Install time was just over an hour including the grinding. I'm fortunate to own a Dremel with the flexible shaft attachment which made this much easier. I don't own a soldering gun so I just heated a very small screwdriver and used this to affix the flash module. I purchased a heat gun from Canadian tire for $15 and this helped.
The video instructions are excellent. My kit didn't come with a large double adhesive piece for the battery, but 4 strips. These worked the same with no issues.
I purchased a separate cell phone repair kit with T3 and T5 screwdrivers and a pry tool off Ebay for cheap. Installation looks perfect, no flaws.
Upgrade was easy!

Ordered the parts one day and received them them the next (normal shipping)! With the help of the video, the tear down was pretty straight forward. I highly recommend some of the extras...including the chassis.
